Violet 'Mavis'HORTONHORTON Violet 'Mavis' After a long brave fight our strong mum (of Michael and Lynda and the late Trevor) passed away peacefully at home as she wanted at the impressive age of 98, on the 30/10/23.

She joins her beloved husband Jack and Trevor. She was loved by so many especially by her Grandchildren Paul, Claire, Lisa, Aileen, Natalie, Leanne, Andrew and her 8 great grandchildren, she was also a loving sister and Aunt.

Thanks go to First Home Carers and the Macmillan Team, who went above and beyond, and the family are very grateful.

A funeral service to celebrate Violet's life will take place on Wednesday 22nd November 12.40pm at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe.

Family flowers only please but if you wish to leave a donation in lieu to First Home and Macmillan Nurses as these have been angels in the last few months in the care for Violet and her family.

As a token gesture, the family requests if you can wear something Violet for 'Our Violet' 'Love you all the tea in China' x x x
