BarrieHOWARTHof Bury Road, Rawtenstall, passed away with his family by his side on November 7, aged 78 years. Barrie was a mining engineer at Deerplay Collier, then went on work study, works manager and works director. He then ran his own business delivering fuel and also renovating property, before his retirement. He loved spending time with family and friends, foreign holidays and in his younger days played football for Goodshaw United. He was also a member of the Rawtenstall Conservative Club, former member of the Kay Street Baptist Table Tennis League. Barrie was a much loved husband to Judith, his wife of 55 years, father to Dale, daughter-in-law Nicola, and grandsons Reece and Connor. His funeral will take place on Tuesday, November 22 at Winfield Funeral Home, James Street, Rawtenstall, BB4 7NE at 10.30am, conducted by Rev Rod Bevan. Family flowers only, donations to the British Heart Foundation, donations can be made online: www.fredhamer. co.uk (tributes and donations).
