Michael ThomasHUXTABLEWe are heartbroken to share that our extraordinary Dad passed away peacefully at home on 11th May 2025 aged 82 years, a courageous fighter to the end.

Beloved Husband of Valerie, much loved Dad to Andy, Steve & Tim and fun-loving Grandad to his 6 beautiful Grandchildren, who he adored.

Much loved by everybody that knew him, he touched countless lives through his remarkable contributions and tireless dedication to supporting numerous organisations and charities for over five decades. His passions were diverse, including rugby, cricket, skittles, motor-sport and travel. He also found great joy in stamp collecting and trains. We will miss and love you forever Dad.

There will be a Church Service to celebrate his life at St Paul's Honiton on Friday 30th May at 2.00 pm, with wake afterwards, all are welcome.

Family flowers only please with donations if desired to British Heart Foundation or Cancer Research UK. at the service or c/o Layzell Funeral Services, The OId Court, Honiton, EX14 1LZ.

I met Mike through Rotary a few years ago. Mike was a dedicated family man. He worked very hard for charity and raised thousands of pounds through the Community Raffle he ran for years. He organised Kids Out every year taking disadvantaged children to Crealy for the day. He loved being Santa and was seen most years at Honiton Christmas lights switch on. Tesco for Christmas Collections and Millwater SEN school where he gave so much joy to the children, seeing their faces light up when he gave them their gift.

It was a pleasure to know you Mike. You will be greatly missed.
