Douglas LeonardJACKSONpassed away peacefully on Saturday 13th April aged 94. Douglas worked for the Farmers Guardian newspaper before retiring and moving to Accrington to see more of his beloved grandsons. He leaves a wife Edith, daughter Charmaine, son in law Richard, grandsons Graham and Mathew, granddaughter in law Scarlett and cherished great grandchildren, Felicity and Hendrix. The family would like to thank Peel House medical staff and the district nurses and staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital for the wonderful care he received. Thanks also to the staff at Mapleford Nursing Home for their compassionate care in his last weeks of life. The funeral service for Douglas will take place at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, Accrington BB5 6HA on Thursday 25th April 2019 at 11am.
