CatherineJACKSONCatherine Theresa Jackson, of Highfield Hall, Haslingden died on Monday, January 17, aged 84. Widow of the late Kenneth Ian Jackson, she was mother to Paul and Anne Marie, and grandmother of three - Emma, Rebecca and John. Sister to Valerie and Mollie, brother to Tony and the late Phillip and Brendan. Known as Kay by her friends and family, she was born in Dublin and came to Newchurch in Rossendale with her family as a teenager. She worked as a packer at Ormerod Slippers and then Mullards in Waterfoot. She met her husband, Kenneth and she was married in June 1962 at St Peter’s Church, Newchurch. She was a devout Catholic and attended St James the Less RC Church, Rawtenstall. She lived in Rossendale since she left Dublin. She liked spending time with her family and her pets and listening to music, including Irish music, Johnny Cash and Boney M. Funeral to take place with Requiem Mass at St James The Less RC Church on Friday, February 4 at 11am followed by interment at Rawtenstall Cemetery, officiated by Canon Anthony Mcbride.
