I was so sad to hear that Mrs Jackson had passed away.
Mrs Jackson taught me clarinet when I was about ten, I was at Outlane Junior School and used to go across to Mount Methodist Church once a week for my lesson.
She was really funny and kind.
I wasn’t very good but she never made me feel that!!
I remember her expecting Katie, she was so excited!!
My Mum also knew Lynda as she worked at Lindley Junior School.
I was training as a Beauty Therapist and she came to me every month at my Mum and Dad’s house for her lashes tinting ( we both liked them really black ) she said I knew what she meant :)), then when I was working she came to Peppermint Place.
Really fond memories of a lovely, genuine lady.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs Jackson. She taught both me and my brother, Daniel, to play the clarinet and was such a lovely person. She always spoke so fondly of Katie too xx

I met Mrs Jackson in early 1980s when I started to learn how to play the flute, I remember those lessons so well and she would bring her little Scotty dog along. She was so lovely and very patient and made lessons fun. She encouraged me to join Huddersfield Wind Band and I have so many happy memories
She shared her love of music with so many young people
Sorry to hear of her loss x

Lynda was without doubt the most respected musician in school with her outstanding skill of playing the clarinet and her beautiful singing. Her musical excellence led her to be involved in many other activities throughout her career, inspiring many. I met up with her again when our daughters Katie and Laura were young and our friendship remained as we ended up living nearby, Lynda often calling in whilst walking her dog. When I went to her house I remember both the house and garden to be always immaculate. For many years we often met up for lunch sometimes with other friends for a catch up on old times. Since she moved away I have been in constant touch with her by phone and through WhatsApp supporting her through her illness. I was so very sad that I never managed to get to see her in the hospice as planned. I will remember Lynda as a good friend whose first love was always her family . We send all our love and condolences to Katie and her family. Gill and Laura. Xx
