You meant the world to me you wear my strength you made me believe I could do anything with the right attitude I listened and remembered every word you said to me from a very young age. I always aspired to be just like you. You said to me, That life‘s battles don’t go to the faster or stronger man they go to the man that thinks he can and that your attitude will determine your altitude, Don’t think of the reasons why it can’t be done. Think of the reasons why it can be done. I will always live my life by those words. I know you were proud of me but I would not be the person I am today if it wasn’t for you. I believe even more now that I can do anything because I know I will have you by my side now. I’m gonna miss you so much. I spoke about you a lot when you were alive and that will never change even though you have gone. I was so proud of you. I just wish things could’ve been different and you could of had the strength to put down the drink because we would’ve been closer in life and I believe we could’ve achieved anything together. You was always up for a laugh you were never boring. You were a big kid at heart.I like the thought that you are up there now with your Dad and I now truly know how you must’ve felt when you lost your Dad at only 21. I know you missed him very much. I can’t wait to see you both when it’s my time. Keep your chin up, we will all be okay Love you always your son Derek xxxxx
