DianaJAMESPeacefully in the early hours of 16/2/2026, our mum
Diana James passed away at Burcot Lodge, Bromsgrove Worcestershire. Mrs James to many, she taught at Huish County Primary School in Yeovil from the late 1960s until she retired in 1996 when she moved to Taunton to become a Grandmother.
She had a passion and a talent for education, was a champion of the underdog and a hater of injustice.
She faced many challenges in her life including being widowed when she was only 42 but faced them all
with resilience and a fierce independence.
She was a proud teacher, mother and granny and loved her family, children's choirs and her dogs.
She will be greatly missed by her children Philip, Lorraine and Alison, her grandchildren Molly, Kate, Joseph, Joe and Victoria and all who knew her.
Many thanks to the staff at Burcot Lodge who cared for her with such tenderness and love while she was with them.
Her funeral will be held in Worcestershire where she spent the last 2 years of her life.
