BrianJARRETTOn Thursday, January 21, Brian, aged 89, passed away peacefully at White Ash Brook Care Home in the loving care of staff. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret, much loved father of Sue and the late Michael and Chris, grandad of Simon, Graham, Gary and Briony, great-grandad of Lewis and Jack, brother of Bernard and the late Les, and a loving uncle. Brian was born in Accrington where he lived all his life. When he left school he started working at Lang Bridges as an apprentice electrician. When he was of age he joined the RAF where he was posted in Aden. When he had served his time, he joined Accrington Corporation as a bus conductor, sometimes with his father Hubert on the same bus, and then he became a bus driver. He then worked at Mullards Simonstone, where he worked until he retired. He was an avid fan of Burnley FC. He loved watching sports, going on holidays, walking his dogs, and spending time with his family. He was liked everywhere he went, and he was a gentleman. He will be sadly missed, but fondly remembered. Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, February 5, at 10am at St Anne’s RC Church, Accrington led by Fr Simon Stamp, followed by cremation at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Funeral director: Hyndburn Funeral Services.
