As children, my brother and I knew Daphne and Alf as wonderful neighbours and great friends to our Mum and Dad.
Over more than 40 years, their friendship shared so many milestones, happy times, and sad times. Even after the loss of our Dad, Barry, and later Alf, Daphne and our Mum, Barbara, remained close friends whose kindness, companionship and unwavering friendship meant so much during those difficult years. The bond they shared was a special one and brought great comfort to them both.
Reaching her 100th birthday was a wonderful milestone and a testament to a long life filled with memories, laughter, friendship and love.
Daphne will be remembered with fondness and affection, not only as a wonderful neighbour but as someone who was such an important part of Mum and Dad's lives for so many years.
Our sincere condolences to David and all of her family.
