JeanJEPSONJean, a resident of Addison Court Nursing Home passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 22nd July, 2019, she was 84 years old. Jean was born in Blackburn to the late Mona and Edward Hope. She was educated in Blackburn, after leaving school Jean went to work for Mullards. Prior to her retirement she worked at Marks and Spencer, Blackburn. Jean met her late husband Norman at Mullards, where they both worked. They married in 1958. Following a honeymoon in Bournemouth. They lived in and around Oswaldtwistle for their entire married life. Jean was an active person, in her earlier years she liked to play tennis. She enjoyed visiting friends. Jean and Norman liked to garden together and they both loved their dogs, a favourite walk would be through Sunnyhurst Woods. Holidays were always spent in Bournemouth until Norman's health meant this was no longer an option. They had a static caravan at Thornton Cleveleys were they continued to spend time. Jean leaves her brother, Stewart, sister-in-law Alison, niece Helen and nephew John. She also leaves Helen's partner, Nathan and Sarah, John's wife. Great nieces and nephew, Isaac, Lauren, Amelie, Elodie, Larissa and Gabrielle. The funeral will take place on Thursday, 1st August at Accrington Crematorium at 11am, followed by interment at Pleasington Cemetery. Officiating will be Steven Colling CBE. Flowers are welcome.
