George and myself first met in 1980, when Lorraine & myself became a couple. My own Father had sadly passed away in 1979, and I was still grieving. While I was not the best catch in the sea, not earning much as an apprentice, not even owning a car, George saw something in me and became a much needed mature male in my life, coaching and mentoring me for forty-five years. Along with Brenda, Linda & Lesley, you could not have been more welcoming.

George a Big Massive Thanks for everything.

My Mum, Lois, 96 years, summed up my feelings when she said, with wisdom, on hearing of George's passing:
"David, ( followed by a pause ) You Will Miss George".

George, again, a Big Thank You for your help & support.

We will miss George he has been a good friend to me since we moved into Brentwood Grove I will miss our little chats. George would help anybody if he could, when we moved here I was trying to dig a rock out of the garden George came across and asked me what are you doing? trying to dig this rock out I replied, even though George was in his 90s he said to me I will go and get my spade and give you a hand with it. George loved his gardening he always kept his garden very tidy and so colourful. We will miss him terribly.
