Very sorry to hear this news. Paul and I went to a lot of Town games together during the ill-fated 1996/97 relegation season, and then the miraculous 1997/98 promotion campaign with the double Wembley wins. Our paths naturally drifted apart over the years, but the memories remain strong. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. xx

I started at Franklin College knowing nobody. Paul was the first person to reach out to me, bonding over our mutual love of film and music, and welcomed me to his friendship group, and for that I'll always be grateful to him. We became really close mates during that time, and with me coming from quite a "stiff upper lip" family, Paul taught me it was ok to show emotion, and be vunerable, which I still carry with me today. We drifted apart over the years, but Paul was a huge part of why I loved being at College, and I often look back on those days. I was truly lucky that our paths crossed, mate, and I hope we meet again in the next one. Rest in peace.

Had a lot of time for Paul. We were good mates growing up in Stallingborough in our school years. Spent hours playing Super Nintendo and watching WWF wrestling.

Fond memories of Paul from Healing Comprehensive School and Franklin College between 1994 and 2001 and days spent together, supporting our beloved Grimsby Town FC. Thoughts with his family and close friends.
