There's some things I just need you to know,
Because, I understand that you had to go,
And it isn't so simple to just carry on,
Because the world seems much sadder now that you're gone.
You've always loved me, just as I am,
In your own special way, that only you can,
And I know that my boys, you absolutely adored.
You were always so proud, to say we were yours.
I miss you Nan, more than words can say,
Though I do understand, that you just couldn't stay,
They say its how life is, that we all have our time,
But I do wish time stopped, while you were still mine.
I hope you and Grandad are together and free,
And I don't want you to be sad or to worry for me,
I want you to know that we'll all be okay,
That we're strong and resilient, because you raised us that way.
I want you to know, that you're our Nan forever,
And that memories with you, are ones that we treasure.
And that we still feel your presence, in all that we do,
Because in each one of us, there's a little of you.
