Ian was a great friend and classmate from the same village (Kinsley) we grew up together and I was the one who encouraged him to ask out Tracey Hickling when in the 6th form at school he plucked up the courage asked her out and they ultimately married we shared a love of rock music and enjoyed many a good time drinking in the George and around Wakefield sadly I lost touch with Ian when he moved to Doncaster but I never forgot him RIP big man

I thought that it would be of interest to many to view Ian’s Rugby League career which I found on-line at the Rugby League Project. Please click on the link above to view his record.

A great man who made such an impression on so many people. He will be missed by all who knew him. It has been a privilege to be both a work colleague and a friend. Rest in peace Ian.
