Victor ArthurJUKESIt is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our much loved Father Victor Arthur Jukes, known to everyone as Vic. He was Father to Jackie, Sean, and Clare. Grandfather to Vanessa, Laura, Kimberley, Jon, Katie, Becky, and Dan. Great Grandfather to Owen, Jackson, Ada, Vinnie, Rose, and Layla-Rae. He was a local Councillor, and much loved member of his community.

His funeral will be held on March 22nd at Bradwell Crematorium at 2pm. Everyone is welcome to come and pay their respects, and to gather afterwards at his wake at Kidsgrove Town Hall (Victoria Hall) to swap stories of this local hero of the community. End of an era. God bless you vic,you were a true friend and Joyce and I will miss you.Your devotion to your duties as a councillor was appreciated by the people you served and your appetite for a fight on their behalf was feared by your opponents. We had many conversations which always ended with a joke.Sleep in peace.

I knew Vic for some 60 years and he never changed. A man of local knowledge and expertise in various fields and one who had the interests of the community at heart. He will be a difficult act to follow

Town Council meetings will never be the same.

I have such fond memories of you taking me under your wing when I was a new Councillor.. Had some long chats and some differences of opinion but always friends by the next day!
Best of an all, whether on Ward business together or over a cuppa, the banter and daft jokes are the best of memories. Your laughter, your passion for your community and indomitable spirit - all wonderful. .
