CaroleKAVANAGHCarole Kavanagh, nee Taylor, passed away on Thursday, September 2, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 74. She has been in poor health these last few years, but died suddenly and unexpectedly. Carole was a wellknown local hairdresser, having her own business in Waterfoot for over 40 years. She leaves her sister Gwenn, her brother-in-law Peter, niece Rachel, and nephew Nick together with his wife Carole, and their children Harry and Francesca. She also leaves her extended family of Jill and her two daughters, Vicky and Sally, together with their partners and children. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, September 14 at Accrington Crematorium at 2.20pm, followed by afternoon tea at Sykeside Country Hotel in Haslingden. Carole was a lifelong animal lover, so it will be family flowers only and donations to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary c/o funeral director www. fredhamer.co.uk (tributes and donations). Funeral director: Fred Hamer, Rawtenstall.
