A beloved husband of Sylvia, loving father of Beth and adoring grandad of Spencer, Chase and Sonny.

Funeral service at St John's Church, Frome, on Friday 20th February at 2.00 pm.

Derek, I’ve told many people who had the privilege of knowing you, but I don’t think that I ever told you, so here goes:-
I never had a brother, but if I could have chosen one, I would have chosen you.

Our friendship, yours and mine, with Sylvia and Nichola, has made my life richer. And we had some laughs over the years, didn’t we?

I have many, many happy memories of my friend and ally, a totally solid and honourable man. I shall miss you and I will never forget you.

Dear Derek , you were my neighbour and very good friend when you lived in Leigh.
I have so very many happy memories of wonderful times we had together, all those wonderful gatherings in the garden with friends & family.
You and Sylvia were fabulous friends and I loved you both dearly.
Such a gentleman Derek, kind ,clever ,supportive and great fun.
The world will be a sadder place without your special presence.
