DavidKEMPA service will be held for Mr David Thomas Kemp, of Great Harwood, who passed away on April 6, 2020, aged 77. David was a retired haulage contractor. He often worked for Hyndburn Borough Council and Lancashire County Council. He also removed waste from backyards and other premises. He played cricket for the Merrie England Public House, and he was also President of the Leisure Hour Working Men’s Club. He loved watching football and supported Burnley. David loved his holidays in Turkey. He is sadly missed by his wife Glynnis, daughters Jackie, Mandy and Donna, stepchildren Jayne and Darren, 15 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. An interment of ashes service will take place at Lee Lane Cemetery, Great Harwood on Monday, October 11, at 1.30pm led by Father Ian Farrell. Donations if desired to a cancer care charity, or the British Heart Foundation. Funeral director: Great Harwood Funeral Service, Great Harwood.
