I wish to send sincere condolences to Ian’s family. I had met Ian on many an occasion while enjoying a pint with my Dad ( Ralph Tattersall) at Holyhead Sailing Club. He was always so warm, friendly and very respectful towards Dad, and would often entertain us with many an interesting seafaring tale. You will be missed.

We have happy memories of Uncle Ian. As young children we travelled to Wales visit the family, looking for the Anglesey Aluminium Chimney as a signal we had arrived. This fondly became known as Uncle Ian's Chimney. It will always be known as this and a lovely reminder every time we visit. Our thoughts are with the family. Love Deb and Matt x

Ian was a lovely, funny man. And a joy to sail with. Always calm and informative. Fond memories of cruising in the Hebredies. Sail on Ian. X
