Ian was a lovely, kind man. In the last 15 years, we have shared many happy moments and days together, including an amazing road trip from Calgary, Alberta down to Vancouver! He was very bright and so knowledgeable, it was a pleasure to be with him as he could talk to anybody about just about anything!
I am sorry that I can’t share the goodbye with his lovely family and many friends but I am in Canada and my family and I are sharing stories of Ian! Sending my condolences and best wishes. 🇨🇦❤️

I will miss my brother for his love of life and adventure. For his knowledge and understanding of the world and most of all for the love we shared for each other. I will miss you forever.

I do wish we'd had more time! In the short while I knew you, you welcomed me with such warmth, made me laugh and showed me just how much you loved your family. I will remember your intelligence, quick wit and humour fondly and I'll always be grateful for the moments we were able to share. We will miss you so very much.

"Faire la bise", Ian. Until we meet again. xxx

It is with great sorrow that I leave this tribute for Ian. Working with him in Pathology at Derby was an absolute pleasure. His wit and humour made each day a joy. I haven’t seen him for some years but will always have happy memories of our time together. So thank you Ian, it was a privilege to know you. R.I.P.
