JoanKIRKHAMPeacefully on 13th November 2025 at the RSUH, surrounded by her loving family, Joan aged 92 years of Light Oaks.

Devoted and much loved wife of 71 years to Stuart, wonderful and cherished mum of Simon and his fiancée Melanie and a treasured aunty. Joan will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends.

Funeral service will take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday 8th December at 11:30am. Will relatives and friends kindly meet at Carmountside.

Family flowers only please donations if desired for the Stroke Association.

Aunty Joan was very special to us all, always taking an interest in everything we did. We have many lovely memories of the happy times we shared together. She was a remarkable lady, intelligent and determined, stylish and glamorous, loving and caring. Joan was an inspiration to us all, we love and miss her and will never forget her. Our hearts go out to Stuart, Simon and Melanie. With love from nephew Russell, Adele, Jasmine, Tiffany and Shaun. xxx

As a young 16 year old at Vale exchange I was privileged to be taken under Mrs Kirkham's wings .
She was so patient and calming with you .Interested in my life
Remember my Mum had become pregnant with my youngest sister,I was horrified about the age difference the thought that my parents were having a baby
She then told me she was pregnant too.!! She said I must be pleased
So much respect for her.
My confidence grew with Joan's support. God Bless her. X
