JeffreyKNOTTMr Jeffrey Knott, of Springfield Road, Great Harwood, died at home on Friday, May 21, aged 71. Jeffrey leaves Joan his wife, Lea his son and Andrea his partner, grandsons Kieran and Jordan and their partners Ashley and Georgina, and brother Alan. Jeffrey was also a brother-in-law, uncle, and friend to many. He began work at Highams Mill in Great Harwood in 1970, until the mill closed. He then worked for Blackburn with Darwen Council as a specialist road worker until he retired in 2018. He was a Roman Catholic and was married at St Wulstan’s Church. Jeffrey enjoyed walking on the beach, holidaying with his family in Canada, and cycling. Due to current government restrictions, a private funeral service will be held for immediate family and invited close friends. Attendees are welcome to wear whatever they want, but the family would prefer they not wear black. Family flowers only; donations if desired to Macmillan Cancer Support. Funeral director: Birtwistle & Rishton, Great Harwood.
