Violet and the family of the late Tommy would like to thank family, friends, neighbours, colleagues, parents and carers for their love and support during their recent sad bereavement. Thank you all so much for the cards, letters, beautiful flowers and for the generous donations which have been forwarded to Ward 29 of the Freeman Hospital. So many of you supported us in your own way during Tommy's long illness, we will always be grateful. Further thanks to all who helped to care for Tommy and who helped him maintain quality of life, thanks also to Fr. Kevin Hunt, Canon Tom Cowen and all at Christ Church, Walker for a beautiful funeral service, and to all at North Shields and Wallsend Co-operative Funeralcare for helping to make a very sad time a little more bearable. Thanks to John for the catering and to the girls at Fragrance Florist. Special thanks to Frank and Barbara for being there when we needed them most. Many thanks must go to all at the British Lung Foundation for working so hard to raise awareness of C.O.P.D. and for giving us their support. Peace be with us all.
