Eileen PatriciaLALLY(née Carney) It is with deep affection and love that we remember Eileen Patricia Lally, born 1944 in Glasgow, who passed away on Thursday, 19th February in St Margaret's Hospice, Clydebank.
Eileen will be greatly missed by her husband Pat, her daughters Judith and Brenda, her grandchildren Fraser, Heather, Rowan and Iona, as well as her daughter-in-law Denise and sons-in-law John and Dan.
She will be remembered for her positive outlook and her readiness to help others, right to the very end.
Eileen lived by a strong moral code and spoke out against injustice wherever she saw it, both in the local community and beyond. Everyone was equal in her eyes, and she had time for everyone. She brought a unique sense of fun to her loving family and friends.
A strong advocate of the arts, she was actively involved in music appreciation groups, local choirs, and believed that culture was there for everyone to enjoy.
Many ex-colleagues and students will remember Eileen fondly, as she was a dedicated primary school teacher who taught for over 40 years in local schools, including St Kessog's, St Peter's and St Michael's.
Despite their intense sadness, her family now look back with gratitude for having had such a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Funeral Service will be held in The Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Maryhill, Glasgow G20 0AA on Friday 13th March at 10am, followed by interment thereafter in St. Kentigerns Cemetery, arriving at 11.15am.
Family flowers only please, donations if desired to St. Margaret of Scotland Hospice.
