ArthurLAMBMr Arthur Lamb, of Haslingden Hall, and formerly of Lacey Court, Haslingden, passed away on Wednesday, May 11 in Burnley Hospital, aged 99. Arthur worked in the local cotton mills all his life until he retired. He would then spend his time playing bowls at Haslingden Bowling Club and perfecting his love of photography. In his younger days he bred budgies and was a member of Lancashire, Cheshire & North Wales Budgerigar Society. He was a good friend to many and would often pop into the local shops in Haslingden for a chat. He leaves behind his sister Evelyn, and nephews and nieces. His funeral service will take place on Thursday, May 26, at 2.20pm at at Accrington Crematorium. Family flowers only, with donations if desired in memory of Arthur to Rossendale Hospice c/o funeral director Caroline Holden-Dewhurst for Johnson, Durning & Woods, Haslingden.
