It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Hazel, who passed away peacefully on 20th December 2025, aged 74 years.
Beloved wife of the late Bob, loving mam of Robert and a dear mother-in-law of Louise. She was also the best granny in the world to Bobby-James.
Daughter of the late Walter and Hazel Norton, and much loved sister of Linda, Ann, Christine, Stephen, David, Janice, Paul and the late Walter, John and Freddie. A dear sister-in-law, aunty and friend to many. Also the favourite barmaid to many generations.
Hazel will be forever loved and sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. She is now at peace and reunited with her beloved Bob, they will always remain in our hearts.
Family and friends please meet for service at Tynemouth Crematorium on Monday 26th January at 12:00 noon.
Family flowers only by request. Donations in lieu if desired to the local charity, North East Hearts with Goals. A collection box will be available at the Crematorium.
Following the service all who knew Hazel are warmly invited to Forest Hall Social Club to continue the celebration of her life.
