Passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family.

Our hearts are broken and tears flow freely, but we are comforted in the knowledge that Joyce is now reunited with her beloved husband of 70 years, James (Jim).

Joyce's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to manager Helen and all the staff at Cheadle Manor who made the final chapter of Joyce's life so wonderful. The professionalism, dedication, care, love and attention Joyce received at Cheadle Manor went above and beyond. Cheadle Manor was Joyce's home. Thank you.

Joyce was a character with a mischievous twinkle in her eye, hilarious at times and also straight talking, as staff members discovered on occasions.

Staff members who Joyce really warmed to were Helen, Claire, Kelly, Jo, Angie, Amy, Craig and Felix.

But three members of staff found their way into Joyce's heart and were classed as family, Paige, Sammy and Sophie.

The family will never forget how, in their own time away from work, they volunteered and aided Joyce at a family wedding to relieve the family of care concerns for Joyce and when Joyce was receiving palliative care, they came after working hours to visit Joyce, to express their feelings and to say one final goodbye. A moment Joyce's family will never forget and will forever appreciate.

Joyce's funeral will take place on Tuesday 23rd September at 10.45am in the Rowan Chapel at Stockport Crematorium.

Always in our prayers and thoughts.

Your Loving Family xxx

The 21st November has come and gone Mum. Last year we spent a wonderful afternoon with you laughing and singing on a snowy day.

This year you were with Dad, Wendy, Gary, Diane, and Wayne in a special place of peace and joy.

We miss you every day Mum and all sent our love in our own way. You will never be forgotten and we cherish the memories you gave us.

Love you now and always, from Sharon, Stew, the Kent family and the Keggies ❤️ xxxx

Dearest Mum,
It’s been 2 months since your turn came to leave us and join Dad, along with your beautiful children gone too soon.
I miss you so much Mum. Your cheeky smiling eyes, our long chats on the phone and our shopping trips. Thank you for giving your whole life to us. You kept us on our toes but with fun and laughter too.
You were a Mum in a million and the tears will keep falling. You’ll never be forgotten but I know you’re at peace now.
Love you always, your Sharon❤️xx

RIP Nan. Ill never forget the times you used to pick me up from primary school. We used to stop off at the shops first to get a ribena and milky way, then back to yours to watch Rosie & Jim. You were always life and soul of every family party and we will never forget you. Love you so much. Terry, Katie, Georgia and Zachary xxxxx
