JeanLEIGHJean Leigh passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on 5th April.

Jean was a truly special woman - full of life, love, strength, and character. She had a way of making herself known in any room, bringing laughter, honesty, and a fierce love for her family that will never be forgotten.

Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday 29th April at 1:30pm at Altrincham Crematorium, Whitehouse Lane, Dunham Massey, Altrincham (WA14 5RH).

After the service, you are warmly invited to join us at Metrovicks Rugby Club, Finneybank Lane, Sale (M33 6LR) to celebrate her life, share memories, and raise a glass to the incredible woman she was.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, are to Positive About Down Syndrome, a charity especially close to her heart. Her first grandson, Adam, was born with Down syndrome, and they shared an unbreakable and deeply special bond. She wouldn't have changed him for the world, but she would have changed the world for him.

If you are able to attend, we kindly ask that you let a family member know.

I still cannot believe you have gone. You’ve been part of my life since I was 3 and we’ve been through so much together then married brothers. With your huge personality life was never boring when you were around. We helped each other through the bad times and laughed through the good times. You’ll never be forgotten that’s for sure.
With all my love always to my big sis
From your little sis. Xxxx

This photo is exactly Jean Leigh!!! What an incredible woman. From a very young age she inspired, encouraged and engaged with everyone. (Especially us young girls.) She taught us be to fierce, independent, courageous, and free, using dance, netball and any other form of support she could offer. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and she was never not around to help. I personally have the fondest of memories… that I will hold in my heart forever 💕

My condolences on the loss of a wonderful mother and friend. I have known Jean since 1967, and have many fond memories of our times with her and Derek and the Leigh family on our visits to England, when we lived in Sale, and on her visits to Canada. Jean always made me feel welcome, was fun to be with and enjoyed our long conversations and the times we spent together. God Bless! Love Micheline
