The obituary notice of David (Dave/Dougie) LEWIS

My dear friend for over 30yrs who introduced me to triple cooked chips, Jacob’s Creek wine and evenings chatting nonsense- you are leaving a big space in the world- for me and many others- rest in peace Dougie.

I was very shocked to hear of Dougs passing. I worked with him at British Gas. A real gentleman we used to meet up most weeks in town. Rest in peace my good friend Dougie. Sending love and condolences to your family and friends.

Dougie, you always greeted me with a smile and a hug whenever we met either on the bowls green or in the street. I will always remember you fondly as a special person who I can call my friend. Will miss you Dougie x

I only knew you for 7years, as my next door neighbour, but in all that time, you were lovely! From chatting over the fence, to lifts to the chemist, when I forgot my prescription, even giving us chips on a Wednesday. We’ll miss you terribly, as a friend and neighbour. Nite nite God Bless . X
