SheilaLILLYSTONEBorn December 12, 1932: Died peacefully February 8, 2026, aged 93 years at Woodside Grange Care Home in Thornaby. Much cherished, beloved, and missed by her children, Stephen John Lillystone, and Simon Patrick Lillystone, their families, and her close friends. Sheila was the devoted, and much-loved wife of James Thomas Lillystone (died 20th June, 2022, aged 93), son of 'Bella' and John Finn, the younger sister of Kathleen Finn (died 5th August, 2007, aged 76), her twin-sister Rosemary ('Mary') (died 1st September, 2019, aged 85), and also her brother, Denis Ivory, from her mother's first marriage, who sadly died many years ago of TB in the 1940's. Sheila spent her entire life in and around Stockton-on-Tees and Teesside, working in various secretarial posts in the education system, and eventually retired after over 25 years of service within the Education Authority of Teesside (lastly at Langbargh School, Middlesbrough). Sheila, like her entire family for well over a century, was a devout and passionate Catholic; celebrating Mass on a near-daily basis at St. Mary's RC Church, Major Street, Stockton-on-Tees. She was ready, when the time came, to join the throng looking forward to a blissful existence in Heaven. A private cremation will take place at Stockton Crematorium. Any enquiries to Crake and Mallon Funeral Service, 01642 611716.

A lovely lady. I knew Sheila when I worked at Langbaurgh School. She had a kind and generous nature and was a pleasure to know.
Eternal Rest grant unto her O Lord. May she rest in peace.
