SheilaLORDSheila Lord of Bacup passed away on April 22 after a short illness, aged 86.

Born in Helmshore Sheila later moved to Bacup where she met and then married her husband Peter in 1957. Most of her working life was spent at Bacup Shoe, retiring after around 40 years. On retirement Sheila spent much of her time in her garden of which she was very proud. She was a keen knitter, an avid reader and enjoyed crosswords and puzzles.

Wife of the late Peter, Sheila leaves daughter Sharon, son-in-law Val, son Phillip, daughter-in-law Maxine, sister Vivien, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also her dear friend and neighbour Chris.

The funeral will be held on Monday, May 12, at 1pm at Hamers Chapel of Rest in Rawtenstall, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery.

Flowers if desired or donations to Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary via the Funeral Director.
