Alice RubyLOVATTSadly, on 20th January 2026, whilst in the dedicated care of Scunthorpe General Hospital, Ruby aged 96 years passed peacefully away.

The devoted wife of the late Syd, beloved mum of Adrian, cherished neighbour and friend to many.

A service to celebrate Ruby's life will take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Wednesday 18th February 2026, at 2.15pm.

Family and neighbour's flowers only please, by request. Donations to benefit 'The Macular Society' will be gratefully received at Mashfords Funeral Service, Norfolk Lane, Cleethorpes DN35 8BB.

So sad to read this, Mrs Lovatt used to be my dinner lady at primary school, she was always my favourite! She was always so kind and had time for everyone and used to bring in little treats for the children, she was always the dinnerlady you went to when you felt sad as she'd instantly make you feel better. Sending love to her family and friends, she was such a lovely lady xx
