FinlayMACLENNAN - (Tarbert)It is with great sorrow that Pat, Fiona and James announce the passing of Finlay MacLennan.

A devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend to many.

Funeral service to be held at Tarbert Church of Scotland, Harris on Monday 28th July 2025, commencing at 1.30pm.

For those that cannot attend, the service will be streamed live using the following link:

At Finlay’s request, no flowers please. Donations can be made at the service to Ross Memorial Hospital, Dingwall.

In 1975, I was a recruit at Hendon Police Training School. I gave my evidence in the mock court. The ‘judge’ dismissed the class except for PC Morrison who was to remain behind. I feared the worst. How relieved I was that Judge Finlay had recognised my Skye accent and greeted me in Gaelic. An absolute gentleman. RIP. Alick Morrison.
