John KennethMALLABONEIt is with deep sadness that the family of John Kenneth Mallabone announce his passing on 3rd July 2026, aged 78.

John was a much-loved member of the local community and will be remembered for his kindness, warmth and willingness to help others.

A devoted husband to Maureen, loving dad to Sarah and James, cherished grandparent to Jacob, Anna and Luke, and great-grandfather to Ollie.

John always put family first. He was known for his sense of humour, generosity and friendly, chatty nature.

He enjoyed walking, caving, cycling and Morris dancing, and found great happiness in the company of family and friends. He was often seen walking his beloved dog Mia.

John will be greatly missed, but his love and example will live on in the many lives he touched.

The funeral service will take place at Gloucester Crematorium on 31st July 2026, at 1pm.

Family flowers only, please. Donations, if desired, may be made to the Stroke Association UK. These can be left in the collection box after the service, or sent to:-

SC & BS Cocks Funeral Directors, 59 Hucclecote Road, Gloucester GL3 3TL.

The family would like to thank everyone for their kindness, support and messages of sympathy during this difficult time.
