BrianMAPLEPassed away peacefully at home on June 13. On leaving school he qualified as a professional photographer, working firstly for the Admiralty and later as a sales representative for a photographic firm. He has a lifelong interest in steam railways and spent most summer holidays visiting heritage steam railways in England and Wales. He was a regular churchgoer and enjoyed taking part in annual pilgrimages to the Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham. He leaves his wife Brenda with whom he had a daughter Lucy who passed away in 2013 and two sons, Simon and Paul, who are from a previous marriage. Flowers or donations if wished to the East Lancs Hospice c/o Hyndburn Funeral Services. Brian’s funeral service will take place at St Mary Magdalene’s Church, Accrington on Thursday, July 20 at 2pm, followed by committal at Accrington Crematorium. All further enquiries tel 01254 233133.
