Loving husband to Jean, devoted dad to John & Julia, loving grandad to Sophie & Eva, special brother in law to Irene, caring father in law to Lorraine & Dave. Fondly remembered by all his family in Spain. Funeral Service will take place on Monday 19th March 9.30am at Bishop Eton Church followed by committal at Springwood Crematorium 10.30am. I'm so sorry I found out about Victor Marban's passing only now. I often remember him. He was my first Spanish teacher, at Merchant Taylor's 1985-1987. Although Spanish was only an optional extra subject, he instilled in me a profound interest in Spanish and Spain. I came out to live in Madridin 1990, and stayed. 35 years here, with my own family and friends. None of this would have happened without having met the inspirational teacher Señor Marbán 40 years ago. I have the fondest memories and deepest admiration for a wonderful man who was hugely influential in the life I chose. ¡Descanse en paz, querido profe!
