PeterMARLANDMr Peter James Marland of Hindle Street, Stacksteads, died suddenly whilst walking his dog on Wednesday, April 28, aged 70. A service will be held at Acre Mill Baptist Church, Stacksteads on Friday, May 14 at 12noon conducted by the Reverend David Livermore, followed by interment at Lumb Baptist Church at 12.45pm. Born in Preston, he came to live in Bacup in 1975. He was employed by Norweb for many years as a technical services engineer. He enjoyed walking, especially amongst the Lancashire hills with his dog Stanley and his great friend Graham Barnes. He leaves his wife Lily, daughter Jane and her husband Jon, son Peter and his wife Ellie, grandchildren Louis, Charlie and Herrick. Two sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, a large extended family and many friends. Our grief beyond tears. Funeral director: Anthony Johnson Funeral Services Ltd, Bacup.
