Peter GordonMARSHALL(Cheddleton Nr Leek, Staffs) Peter passed away peacefully in Wansbeck Hospital on Sunday 11th June aged 83 years following his bravely borne and fiercely fought battle with Lewy Body Disease. Cherished and beloved husband of Elizabeth June (nee Fenwick). Devoted father of Peter and Jane. Treasured and adored grandfather to Esther, Maguire, Robin and Romy. Loving Father-in-law to Amanda and Richard. Peter led a full and contented life with a twinkle in his eye. A proud Newbiggin lad with a life long love of Squash and Tennis, he met June and his family flourished through his unwavering and devoted love and support. He influenced and encouraged the lives of many through his career as a teacher (Walbottle High School), his work with Youth Groups and as a squash coach. He will be sadly missed by many. Family and friends please meet at: Blyth Crematorium, Cowpen Road, Blyth, NE24 5SZ on Monday 3rd July at 11:30 am. You are then warmly invited to a Celebration of Life with food (and a drink from Peter) at : The Northumberland Club, North Jesmond Avenue, Jesmond, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, NE2 3JU. There is a decking area if the sun is out and indoor provision if not. No flowers, please. Instead, donations would be greatly appreciated for 'The Lewy Body Society' in memory of Peter.
