PhyllisMARSHALLIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Marshall aged 101, a cherished matriarch, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was the devoted wife of the late Ernie and a loving mother to Garry, Haydn, and Tricia. Her warmth and kindness extended to her children-in-law Lyn, Sue, and Ray, with whom she shared a close and caring bond. She was preceded in death by her beloved brothers Terry, Hedley, Vivian, and Jimmy, and remained a treasured sister to Betty and Tony. She was also a dear sister-in-law to Cath, Marjorie, and Edna. Her legacy lives on through her grandchildren-Natalie, Richard, Anthony, David, Helen, Sarah, Adam, and Claire-and their partners, each of whom she adored and supported with unwavering love. She also leaves behind a large and loving family of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Her life was marked by compassion, resilience, and devotion to family. She will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, her gentle spirit, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

When visiting the UK, George and I would stay a week with Aunty Phyllis.
This one time I remember well. It was a Sunday morning and Aunty Phyllis had cooked us a full breakfast. She didn't sit down to join us but started to cook the Sunday roast. It was about 11.30am when our roast lunch was served up. We were still feeling full from the big breaky but we still ate. Once again she didn't sit and eat with us as she said she was heading out to Bingo and she didn't want us to miss out on a Sunday roast lunch.
I still have a chuckle about that day. She was always feeding us up. I definitely came home kilos heavier. She was a funny lady with a big heart.
I will miss her and remember her always. Rest in peace Aunty Phyllis. You and Dad have a lot of catching up to do. Love Janet xx
