Thomas HenryMARTINIt is with great sadness that the family of Thomas Henry Martin (or Tom as he was known to his friends) announces his passing aged 92, on 26th March 2022 at the Florence Nightingale Hospital. Tom who lived in and around Derby all of his life, started his career at Davis Engineering, then after a short break for his National Service in 1951, went on to complete 35 years' service at Rolls-Royce. Tom had a long and happy retirement with his wife Pauline until her untimely passing in 2012. In more recent years he has shared many more special memories with his close friend and companion Janet. Tom's hectic social calendar throughout his retirement was filled with holidays home and abroad, caravanning, dancing, bowling and was an active member of the Derby Oddfellows and the Rolls-Royce Retired Employees Association. Tom leaves three sons, Christopher, Keith and Paul, four Grandchildren, Josie, Laura, Richard and Helen, and three Great Grandchildren Thea, Isabelle and Edward. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Tom's funeral will be held at Trent Valley Crematorium on Tuesday 19th April at 11:30am.
