DonMASKELLPassed away peacefully on 23rd July 2026 Aged 89 Years.

Reunited with beloved wife Jessie. Loving Dad of Peter, Frances and Daughter in Law Sarah. Grandad of Bella and Lottie.

Don devoted his life to the betterment of others through his teaching, ministry and volunteering.

A Celebration of Don's life will take place at Cottingham Methodist Church on Monday 17th August at 11:30am Please wear colours.

Family flowers only, donations may be left for Macmillan Cancer Support and Water Aid in Don's Memory.

Don and I bonded over our teaching experiences when I first attended Butterflies in Cottingham with my mum. He was always so welcoming to both of us, greeting us with a smile and chatting to us about his live and his family. When I became a volunteer, our friendship continued. He was always so supportive and full of fun. We will all miss his smile and witty remarks.

I first met Don 10yrs ago through my work with Butterflies.
He was always very welcoming & supportive to everyone that came to our groups.
A true gentleman always.
He will be forever missed by everyone.
