I and the whole family are so sad to have to say goodbye to Tony. I, Shirley, have known him since I was fourteen, so he has been part of my life for a lot of years. I remember going to dances with Thelma so that she would be allowed to go and meet Tony there!! He was a good tennis player and when we played doubles with Thelma and Tony I knew I would never return his serve, so I would just stand aside and let it go!! Our most recent memory is of Tony's efforts at painting when he joined Thelma's Art Class in the Village Hall. No-one could ever forget his "Nuns picture". He was such a good sport and would allow us to laugh at it each time we visited!!. Thelma and Tony have been such a close couple and I know how much she will miss him, as will all of the family. The donation is from both David and myself and the one to the Alzheimer's Research is also from James and Jo and Daisy.
