To the best Dad.

I was so lucky to have spent so many amazing years with both you and Mam. Granted my life hasn't taken me very far from Chester-le-Street (:-) but the advantage of that has been the ease that we could drop in so regularly to see you. I've loved it.

We finally got to say goodbye formally yesterday, and I hope we did you proud.

You are now back with Mam - your soulmate of 60+ years

Thanks for everything...
- Your love and support to myself, Fiona, Molly, Libby and Harry
- Introducing Paul and I to Newcastle United
- Teaching me how to bet !
- Advice and support when I got into a pickle
- Your "woeful" humour! (I don't mean that)
- All the stories, the holidays, the memories are endless.

There is bound to be more...
I count me blessings and am forever grateful.
Love Mick

All too recently I said how mam was an amazing, wife, mam, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, aunty, friend to many and you were just the same as a husband, dad, father-in-law, grandad, uncle and friend.

You were the rock in our lives and kept things in order, always encouraging us at sports and games but also pushing us in education.

You filled our lives with happiness and love, memories I will cherish forever.

You welcomed Andrea into our family and when Lauren and Matthew were born you were the proudest grandad - so loving and caring.

Rest In Peace
Love Paul

John McAdam - the boy next door. Not quite; same street and about 20 metres down. Sometimes these situations don’t work out but not in Pat and John’s case. A marriage made in Heaven (with a little help from the “two Mams”!). John, the sort of chap you liked to sit down and share a drink with. A man’s man, liked a drink and a bet on the horses. Loved his football (NEWCASSEL!), well read - he was always reading a book - and a good quizzer.  But also, a family man, good husband to Pat, great Dad (testimony their 2 boys Paul and Michael) and great Grandad, always there to help no matter what (eg “Have to join you at the pub later Bill, Lauren needs help with her Homework”!). And, as recently said of him on news of his death by one of Pat and John’s long term female friends, “A lovely man, a true gentleman”.

Glad to have known you John and to have had you as my brother-in-law.

Sadly I can’t attend the Church on Thursday to say a last goodbye. RIP John.
