DavidMCFADDENIt is with great sorrow that we announce the death of David McFadden.
Son of the late Charles and Margaret McFadden. Beloved husband to Janice for 55 years, devoted father to Anne-Marie, David, Jamie, Faye, Nicola, Jade and their partners. Loving granddad to 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Also brother to Barbara, Anna, Michael and John.
David sadly passed away at Blackburn Royal Hospital on October 21, surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in Edenfield and Irwell Vale, David discovered a passion for motor vehicle repairs at an early age, at just 15 he began his mechanic apprenticeship at Cordingley & Sons Garage in Haslingden, where he progressed his skills and developed a lifelong love for automobiles. He went on to be the proprietor of Acre Garage and later Jubilee Garage.
David also worked for Lords of Waterfoot before taking on a role at Rossendale Road Springs. Most recently he contributed his knowledge and experience to JEI Solutions, where he was known for his meticulous work and unwavering dedication. Beyond work, David cherished time spent with his family, holidaying in Devon and Dorset. Known for his social and friendly nature, David loved to engage with those around him.
David was lifelong loyal Manchester United supporter and a keen fly fisherman. He also enjoyed nature, wildlife, the outdoors; completing the 3 Peaks of Yorkshire numerous times. David's warm spirit and infectious smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral will take place at St Mary's RC Church, Haslingden, on Thursday, November 6 at 1pm followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery.
