JohnMCMANUSMr John McManus, of Mercer Crescent, Helmshore, died at Blackburn Royal Hospital on Monday, May 9, aged 86. John was a TV producer, radio station manager, lecturer and journalist. He worked with Rossendale (Haslingden) Credit Union, and was a Haslingden Street Fair organiser. John was a Labour Party councillor and leader of Rossendale BC some years ago. Husband of the late Pam McManus and father of the late Mark, he leaves daughter Jessica and son Simon, grandchildren Alex, Zac, Jake, Eleanor, and Charlotte. The funeral was due to be held on Thursday, May 19, at 1pm at Accrington Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth.
