I remember Alan as a warm hearted, kind, and Godly man who loved Christ and His people. He exemplified what a Christian man and Pastor ought to be. I am grateful to have met and known him. His character left an impression on me that I have not forgotten after many years of not seeing him.
James Montgomery's hymn, ''Nearer Home'' 3rd verse:
'So when my latest breath shall rend the veil in twain, by death I shall escape from death, and life eternal gain. That resurrection word, that shout of victory: once more 'For Ever with the Lord!' Amen, so let it be!'
Remembering Myra and the family in our praying at this difficult time.
Gareth Evans, Minister, Shrewsbury Evangelical Church.
