Dearest McVie family,
I am so sorry to hear of Irene’s passing. I was a student of hers in Wilderswil, Switzerland. She taught me German! She was an amazing teacher, amazing role model, and always made me laugh with her wonderful sense of humor. I kept in touch with her during her stay at the Monte Rosa school in Montreux. We went to the moi t’aime above Montreux and enjoyed a marvelous tea. I loved Irene and I have cherished memories of her and all of the fun we had together. God bless you Irene. You were a loved friend and positively impacted my life in so many wonderful ways.

All of my condolences to your family.
