William FrancisMETCALFEPeacefully on Tuesday 12th December, while at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Bill, aged 90, sadly passed away.

Loving Husband of Margaret.

Cherished Father of Sue and Andrew.

A much thought of Father-In-Law of Phil and Billy.

Adored Grandad of Danielle and Craig, Scott and Clair, Leoni and Andy, Troy and Kelly, Tasha, Corey and Hev, Hayden and Beth and the late Calli. Great Grandad of Miles, Tiger Lilly, Evelyn, Paige, Tobi Phoebe, Cooper and Sonny. A much-loved Brother, Brother In Law and Uncle.

Bill's family would like to thank Glyn Thomas House for their outstanding love and care of Bill during his stay. Bill was a good friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held at Grimsby Crematorium Weelsby Avenue Grimsby DN32 0BA, on Thursday 4th January at 10:30.

Family flowers only please. Donations in Bill's memory may be made to Andy's Man Club Immingham, for information on how to donate please email to [email protected] . A donations box for this chosen charity will be available at the service.

Sleep tight Grandad, it’s still hard to believe you’re not here anymore.you have been the best Grandad and Great Grandad we could have wished for! Thank you for all the precious memories we have to treasure. Life certainly won’t be the same without you! Who’s going to help craig eat all the biscuits on a Sunday now. Love you forever xxx

I worked with Bill in the 80's when he was the scaffold manager. He was fair minded, hard working and straight talking. A great man. He loved his family holidays at York. Sending love to the family at this sad time.
