So sad to hear of John's passing, an absolute gentleman.
I worked for many years with John in the Steelworks where he would always help and support anyone in need.
Many a laugh shared under pressure, always managed to raise a smile.
Best wishes to his family,
Kevin Ronan

So sad to see this in the paper today. He was a lovely gentleman. We have had some good chats over the last year or so. He was telling me about his life in the Navy.
My sincerest sympathies to you all at this sad time.
Take care,
